Mechanical Foreman
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Equivalent
Experience: Preferably 3 to 5 years in Heavy Engineering, Construction and Steel Fabrication .
Job Description:
- · To manage, plan and effectively organize the work shop fabrication activities in order to meet an agreed program of deadlines.
- · To participate in regular meetings with the management and keeping them informed of progress.
- · To plan for resources such as man power/ material to meet project requirements and to ensure raw material, and other project related procurement is expedited to ensure compliance with the project schedule.
- · To manage and monitor the work shop labor force through and monitor the work of sub contractors to complete the work as per customer satisfaction.
- · To liaise with engineering department for selection of material to suit the market availability in coordination with Project coordinator and follow up with Engineering dept. for drawings, to schedule work shop planning.
- · To manage and ensure proper usage of materials / equipments and to improve methods required for cost saving / cost reduction in accordance to budgets.
- · To ensure proper documentation required for the completion of work and gain approval from the Q.C department for further operation.
- · To co ordinate with the Production Engineer, QC Engineer, Planning Engineer and Stores for the daily fabrication activities.
- · To manage safety matters on the work shop and ensure that the safety regulations are adhered to.
