Autocad Operator/Estimator
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Equivalent with certified course in Autocad.
Experience: Preferably 2 to 4 years in Heavy Engineering, Construction and Steel Fabrication
Job Description:
- · Prepare material/take off from drawings and from site installation.
- · Knowledge in preparing cutting list.
- · Should know cost and material estimation.
- · Read and write English.
- · Review shop drawings against Contract drawings.
- · Review materials and suppliers to ensure compatibility with required standards
- · Visit factories/ suppliers to ensure quality will be achieved.
- · Review method statements of contractors .
- · Plan and prepare detailed shop drawings and specifications of project.
- · Ensure all required level of information with respect to detailing, design specs, referencing and agreed multi-disciplinary requirements are incorporated.
- · Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs (RFI, Vendor/Subcontractor, Purchase, Owner etc) track responses and advise the Project manager and Superintendent of the status of RFIs
- · Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents.
- · Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work as required.
- · Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policy and procedures, including tracking and creating RFIs, transmitting and tracking of submittals, compose agreements, and maintain project expediting lists.
- · Should be able to calculate quantity with AutoCAD program, excellent knowledge of managing bill of quantity, cost.
